The original building of the property was probably built 100 years ago to serve as a farmhouse for agriculture and livestock. Later, around 1950, it was completely renovated, expanded and converted into a permanent residence where our grandmother lived all year round. In 2017 the main house, the barn and the storage room were completely renovated and given their current appearance. Our main desire was to add modern touches of comfort and luxury while preserving the unique traditional elements of the Cyclades. In 2023 the property was expanded with the construction of a new house following the same architectural principles.
In the past decades, the Parians lived near the port and the town, but many of them owned land on the outskirts of the settlement for their agriculture and livestock farming. When they wanted to explain that they were going to the countryside, they used the word «exochi». The Krotiri district, where our houses are located, was one of these rural areas before becoming an attractive suburb of Parikia.
