Located in the heart of the Aegean Sea, Paros is one of the most famous and beautiful islands in the Cyclades. Its traditional settlements are a representative example of unique Cycladic architecture with whitewashed cubic buildings, narrow paved alleys, small chapels and colorful blooming bougainvilleas. Several interesting archaeological sites are scattered across the island and are waiting to be discovered. Paros also has more than 40 beaches. Whether you choose an organized beach with water sports and sun loungers or a more secluded and quiet bay, you are sure to fall in love with the golden sand and crystal clear waters.
Krotiri is a quite but sought after suburb of Parikia (the capital of Paros), just 3 km from the main port and the traditional settlement. It is a residential area where you can enjoy the tranquility of nature while still being close to shops, restaurants, nightlife, banks and grocery stores (5 minutes by car, 30 minutes on foot). To get around and explore the island at your own pace, we recommend using a vehicle as there is no public transport in the area.
Martselo is the closest beach to Exochi Traditional Houses (500m) and can be reached either by car (2 minutes) or on foot (8-10 minutes). It is a long, wind-sheltered sandy beach with crystal clear waters and a wonderful view of Parikia Bay. Half of the beach is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, while the other half has retained its natural character and provides dense shade from tamarisk trees. On either side of the main beach there are three other secluded bays: Krios, Kaminia and Agios Fokas. Sea transport from the beach to Paros port is available daily during the day in summer.
